Jennifer Schreckengaust, PT, DPT

Specializing in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Shoulder, Knee, Geriatric Care and Orthotic Fabrication.

After graduating from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Movement Science and being a four-year starter on their field hockey team, Dr. Schreckengaust completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California. Graduating in 1999, she received the honor of the Order of the Golden Cane, an academic award for the most outstanding clinical science student in her class. She began her career at the University of Michigan MedRehab and MedSport facilities in Ann Arbor, MI, and joined the Gaspar DPT family in 2003. Working part-time in the SPC location, Jen balances treating her patients by raising her three school-aged children.

Philip DeMoss is a seasoned physical therapist with over a decade of experience specializing in orthopedics. His expertise includes shoulder and knee rehabilitation, balance training, and sports recovery. He earned his bachelor's degree from Cal State San Bernardino in 2010 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University in 2013. Philip is the clinical director of Gaspar's Coastal Carlsbad clinic, where he leads with a commitment to patient-centered care. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, spending quality time with his wife and two children, boating, fishing, and coaching baseball.

Eddie Lara, Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)

Eddie is a San Diego native who graduated in 2012 from San Diego State in the Exercise and Nutritional Sciences department, receiving his degree in Athletic Training. Eddie has worked in numerous San Diego fields of sports medicine, from professional (San Diego Chargers & San Diego Sockers) to high school sports (Cathedral Catholic & San Dieguito Academy). With years of experience, he has developed and executed rehab protocols among multiple levels of play. He treats the whole athlete while focusing on their unique injury and provides the best option(s) to recover quickly and return safely to the field of competition.

Amber is a Wyoming born and raised native and is a mountain girl at heart. She moved to California in 2020 for PT school and fell in love with all the adventure, pastimes and ocean views the sunshine state has to offer. Amber is a huge enthusiast of the outdoors and tries to live every day to the fullest. When she is not in the clinic you can probably catch her posted up next to a campfire under the stars with some good tunes. Her other favorite hobbies include hiking, skiing, wakesurfing, travel, going to concerts and a good ole fashioned game night.

Brett Slutsky, PT, DPT

Brett's clinical background includes orthopedics and sports rehab, geriatric rehab, and women's health supported by continuing education from Herman and Wallace. Brett aims to help individuals gain confidence and ownership of their health through a personalized, evidence-based, holistic approach to rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Brett loves getting outside for hiking, camping, and beach days.
