Although those numbers seem common, very few people are aware of AMC. The condition involves curved or hooked joints, limited range of motion and multiple joint contractures throughout the body at birth. There is no cure for AMC, but treatments are available to help those with the condition lead happy, independent lives. Treatments include serial casting, physical therapy, occupational therapy and various surgeries.
